Job Description

About the role
  • ACI is scaling a modern, governed, AI-first enterprise. The CIO will be the senior owner of our global technology backbone and the executive sponsor for data, security, and platform strategy. You will turn strategy into shipped capabilities that improve how our teams build, sell, deliver, and support solutions for clients. This is a hands-on, outcomes-focused role with direct influence on growth, margin, and customer experience.
What success looks like in 12 months
  • Enterprise platforms are simplified into a secure, data-rich fabric with clear ownership, SLAs, and cost transparency.
  • Time to onboard employees, clients, and partners is reduced by 30 percent through identity, workflow, and automation upgrades.
  • AI is embedded into core processes with measurable lifts in cycle time, quality, and support deflection, and with audit-ready controls.
  • Security posture is verified through continuous controls monitoring, quarterly tabletop exercises, and independent assessments.
  • A two year technology roadmap is socialized and funded, with quarterly outcome reviews and a reliable run rate of delivery.
Key responsibilities
  • Strategy and governance
    • Own the enterprise technology strategy aligned to business priorities in sales, delivery, finance, people, and client success.
    • Chair architecture and investment councils. Set standards for integration, data, cloud, identity, and AI usage.
    • Establish KPIs for reliability, security, cost, and agility. Publish a quarterly exec scorecard and action plan
  • Platforms and data
    • Evolve our application portfolio across CRM, PSA, ERP, HRIS, collaboration, MDM, observability, and developer platforms.
    • Build a governed data foundation with clear lineage, access controls, and self-service analytics.
    • Drive interoperability across tools and vendors. Retire redundant systems and contracts.
  • Security and compliance
    • Lead enterprise security and privacy programs across identity, device, data, and application layers.
    • Maintain readiness for client and regulatory requirements in the US, EU, MEA, and APAC.
    • Oversee incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
  • AI enablement
    • Operationalize safe and useful AI for employees and clients with strong policy guardrails.
    • Stand up MLOps, data quality, and monitoring practices.
    • Sponsor pilots that convert into managed, measurable services.
  • People and operating model
    • Build a high performing team across architecture, engineering, IT operations, security, and data.
    • Use a product operating model for internal platforms with roadmaps, backlogs, and SLAs.
    • Develop vendor, partner, and audit relationships. Negotiate value and resilience into contracts.
Required experience
  • 12 plus years leading large scale enterprise technology portfolios in multi region environments.
  • Proven track record modernizing core systems, consolidating platforms, and delivering measurable business outcomes.
  • Ownership of enterprise security and compliance programs, including identity, endpoint, cloud, data, and application controls.
  • Demonstrated success implementing governed AI and analytics in production with clear KPIs, cost controls, and risk management.
  • Budget accountability, portfolio planning, vendor management, and board level communication.
Skills we value
  • Architecture depth across cloud, networks, data platforms, integration patterns, and zero trust security.
  • Fluency with CRM and revenue systems, finance and ERP, HR tech, collaboration stacks, and developer platforms.
  • Strong data literacy. You can reason about lineage, quality, access, and model performance in plain language.
  • Product leadership. You run internal platforms as products with customers, roadmaps, and outcomes.
  • Change leadership. You move a global organization forward with clarity, empathy, and accountability.
Nice to have
  • Experience in services and solutions businesses that operate on outcome based engagements.
  • Familiarity with Databricks, Snowflake, Unity Catalog, modern observability, and secure agent orchestration.
  • Background working with privacy regimes and regulated data in multiple regions.
Operating principles
  • Outcomes over activity. Measure what matters and ship in increments.
  • Governance by design. Security, privacy, and audit are built in, not bolted on.
  • Open and modular. Prefer interoperable platforms and clear contracts between systems.
  • People first. Coach, grow, and recognize talent. Set high standards and remove blockers.
Location and travel
  • Preference for Eastern or Central US time zones.
  • Willingness to travel 20 to 30 percent for leadership offsites, client meetings, and partner reviews.
What you will lead
  • Enterprise architecture, IT operations, security, data platforms, and internal developer platform.
  • The investment portfolio for enterprise technology and the vendor ecosystem that supports it.
Compensation

Attractive salary, performance bonus, and stock options. Benefits aligned to a leadership role in a high-growth business.
