Sodexo, a global leader in food services and facilities management, runs a complex, multi, continent operation serving millions daily. Their data ecosystem spanned multiple systems, platforms, and geographies, making it difficult to get a unified, actionable view of spend, inventory, retail transactions, and food service operations.

They partnered with ACI Infotech to modernize, integrate, and unify this ecosystem through a suite of Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) and Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) projects, turning scattered data streams into a connected foundation for operational excellence.

THE CHALLENGES

Sodexo faced urgent, wide-ranging data challenges
fragmented spend data from global suppliers made it difficult to standardize categories and analyze cost trends; legacy food-management systems couldn’t keep pace with evolving menu, ordering, and production needs; and retail operations required real-time updates to pricing, inventory, and transactions that the existing architecture couldn’t support. Disparate integration points across retail, ordering, and reporting further slowed decision-making.

The result was a fragmented landscape where teams across regions weren’t working from the same source of truth. They couldn’t consistently act on the same data, at the same speed, or with the same confidence.
