Scaling And Automating Infrastructure For Stock Record Leader

Menu

INTRODUCTION

Based in New York City, this American company, founded in 2003 by a programmer and photographer, is a major provider of stock photography, stock footage, stock music, and editing tools. They boast an extensive collection, housing approximately 125 million royalty-free stock photos, vector graphics, and illustrations, along with a catalog of around 4 million licensed video clips and music tracks.

CHALLENGES

The client sought an adaptable cloud-based IT infrastructure capable of automatic scaling to match incoming traffic levels. They required Continuous Integration and Delivery functionalities operational during business hours, coupled with a robust monitoring system for swift issue resolution. Their existing setup involved an Auto Complete feature for content publication and disjointed Git repositories. Jenkins bridged GitHub and Elastic Container Service. They aimed to automate Container log collection via Sumo Logic, integrating Sysdig monitoring alerts into JIRA for ticketing. Additionally, they needed to develop and manage Terraform scripts and maintain up-to-date Configuration Management protocols, ensuring an efficient and responsive IT environment.
