ACI Infotech’s SAP services increased Productivity and Effectivity of a construction major by over 40%

one of the largest and most reputed Construction & Engineering organizations in North America

  • The North American construction giant was lacking a proper mechanism for project operational re-porting, for which they sought the assistance of ACI professionals.
  • As the company’s in-house team did not have the required expertise in SAP, they were unable to implement SAP ECC 6.0 Projects Operational Reporting System.
  • They were also in need of SAP Analysis for Microsoft Office to gain insight into business data and make critical business decisions that can improve their corporate performance.
  • The client was also facing a lot of problems to manage its projects as it had poor mechanism for tracking projects’ progress.

Our Solution/ Approach

  • ACI tied up with the company as its SAP technology partner. The first thing we did is deploying a highly experienced SAP Technical Analyst to help the client out. We led the implementation of their SAP ECC 6.0 Projects Operational Reporting System.
  • Our team closely worked with their IT and business teams in the requirement gathering phase to deeply understand the existing ORS legacy system and to build those processes and tools within SAP using the best practices on PS and FI/CO integration.
  • We designed and built SAP ORS Application Dashboard and Tools using ABAP Web Dynpro technology and automated the month-end closing process.
  • ACI also helped the company by designing and building Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms and Workflow objects to accomplish the solution in line with the business requirements.
  • Our team designed PI interfaces to request and pull non-SAP project data from their legacy systems. The dedicated SAP Technical Analyst deployed by ACI designed CRM Web UI and Middleware enhancements and interfaces for the company.
  • We effectively coordinated with the onsite/offshore/nearshore teams throughout the delivery process.
  • Our team built and executed development plans, scheduled and revised them during change requirements to help them streamline their project planning activities. We also managed the resolution of defects logged in ALM tool (HP-QC) during functional unit testing and user acceptance testing phase.
  • The ACI team tracked and reported the progress and status of the build phase & defect resolution in the test phase to the respective stake holders and guided project managers in scheduling and tracking.
